My dog has colitis.
My "little girl" is Pixie. She is a boston terrier and she is 7 years old now and doing quite well. She has colitis,a disease of the bowels,it developed about 4 years ago. After many, many trips to her vet, different medications and changes in her diet,I was told maybe her best option would be to put her to sleep. I spent that night in tears.By now Pixie was really sick, she was at her worst and I knew that if something didn't change fast that she wasn't going to make it anyway. So I started searching the internet and read everything I could find on colitis and nutrition. I knew the answer was in her diet and I knew I had to work it out somehow. Finally I had decided on a combination of foods that I could cook together for her and tried it. Everyday she was served with this "miracle meal" and everyday she got healthier!! Today she is a happy, healthy little girl who is the love of my life and who gets her own home cooked meal everyday. |
